My name is Ida Felix Blumenthal "Little Dragonfly", owner and founder of Dflysoap.com, maker of the popular Dragonfly Body Cleanser - all natural handcrafted aromatherapy soap. 

I have been involved in holistic health and therapy most of my adult life with over thirty-five years experience as a licensed massage therapist, homeopathist, and Reiki master. So it was a natural extension of my skills to begin to help people with luxurient soap full of all the best energies and qualities found in Aromatherapy and Reiki. 

During my many years as a massage therapist, and working on thousands of clients including interesting people like musician Kenny Loggins, and television writer/producer Paul Fusco, the creator of the hit TV series Alf,  I used aromatherapy scents as part of the healing environment for my massage sessions, and have seen first hand the beneficial effects aromatherapy has on people. Also, as a certified Reiki Master, I would employ energy work upon my clients to further enhance my massage therapy techniques. Needless to say, my sessions were met with great approval from my clients!

So, how does aromatherapy work? Aromatherapy uses volatile plant materials, known as essential oils, and other aromatic compounds for the purpose of altering a person's mood, cognitive function and health.

What is Reiki? Well, the word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." Reiki is a spiritual practice developed by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui.  It uses a technique commonly called palm healing as a form of complementary and alternative therapy and is sometimes classified as oriental medicine. Through the use of this technique, practitioners are transferring universal energy (Reiki) in the form of ki through the palms that allows for self-healing and a state of equilibrium.

Let me explain what is special about my little bundles of cleanser. I handcraft every bar individually, using my knowledge of aromatherapy and energy techniques to infuse a healing experience in every little package that goes out, so that bath or shower time becomes the best and healthy way to start your day!
